This is from Chris Jones' post in the BostonIBD group:
Sat down and scanned "Profiting from Clean Energy" by Richard Asplund,
tom this may help you. He list 100 + stocks that can be trades in all
areas from oil and solar to polysilicon wafer producers to tidal
power, led bulbs and building efficiency.
A good read and you don't need to believe in global warming. He
emphasizes that these are the areas tha will be growing under
increasing demand. The book was written in 2006 so we have heard of
70% of the companies. He pieces it all together very nicely and
explains the difference between the market shift and the regulatory
shifts.
best,
chris

How to Make Money in Stocks, by William J. O'Neil
Bill O'Neil is the founder of IBD, Investor's Business Daily.
In this book he outlines his CANSLIM methodology for investing in stocks. He covers the main fundamentals and technical patterns ("bases") he looks for in a stock. These include cup with handle, double bottom, flat base, etc.
The book also covers O'Neil's background and how & why he founded the paper.
This is a "must read" for all investors, imho.
The lastest edition is the 3rd. Here is the Amazon link for the book.

About the BostonIBD Bookclub
This blog was created as a resource for members of the BostonIBD Group, to publish and share our reviews of investment books. (Thanks Chris J for the idea).
BostonIBD is the Boston chapter of the Investor's Business Daily Meetup Group. We meet twice a month at MIT in Cambridge, MA.
Please feel free to post reviews of Stock Market/Trading/Investment books here, or comment on books that other members post about. Before posting a review of a new book, please check to see if someone has already created a post about it. If so, you can instead post your review as a "comment" of the initial post.
